MINISTRY OF STORIES STOOL

materials: 100 year old English oak, stainless steel pipe

A stool designed and made for Hoxton Street Monster Supplies

"Purveyor of Quality Goods for Monsters of Every Kind...."

Made using Oak salvaged from an old Church and constructed using bespoke joinery. The steel footrest and back support hold the frame together. Inspired by 1930's industrial machine stools and their manufacturing techniques.

The shop is situated at the front of the Ministry of Stories: a creative writing and mentoring centre for young people in east London, who use storytelling to inspire young people aged 8-18; in the belief that writing unleashes their imaginations and builds confidence, self-respect and communication.
